National Cancer Survivor's Day

Every year, Kelsey Research Foundation partners with the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic for an event called "National Cancer Survivor's Day: A Celebration of Life and Creativity" in honor of the many cancer survivors at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic and in the local community. The special event has become a tradition and is a meaningful gathering to share stories of hope and survivorship. More than 250 cancer survivors, caregivers and supporters join in the tribute to survivors. Held at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic - Main Campus, the celebration includes moving stories shared by cancer survivors with personal reflections about their experiences and compassionate care during treatment and recovery. Each year, we look forward to another wonderful time together to remember their journeys and celebrate their milestones. The event also serves as a tribute to the outstanding team at the Kelsey-Seybold Clinic Cancer Center, who make a monumental difference in the lives of so many people with cancer. During this event, Kelsey Research Foundation presents the Elihu N. Root Award for Excellence in Patient Care, which is awarded to 2 team members from the cancer center/cancer services department.
