Research Assistant

Collecting and documenting research data. Maintaining records for clinical study and regulatory documents. Entering study data into a computerized database or case report form. Retrieving and submitting test results to appropriate party. May recruit, advertise, and screen for research patients. May conduct patient interviews to evaluate patient eligibility in study. May schedule research subject appointments for tests and procedures, such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol. May correspond with patients throughout study. May travel to various clinic locations throughout KSC system. Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience - Required: One year in research studies. Preferred: Two years in research studies
Special Skills - Valid drivers’ license and auto insurance.

Coordinator, RN Clinical Trials

Recruit and follow-up patients participating in clinical trials and outcomes studies. Prepare and maintain case forms and meet with study monitors to review data quality. Conduct phase II-IV clinical pharmaceutical trials in compliance with governmental, company sponsor(s) and IRB regulations; collaborate closely with Supervisor to identify new trials for placement; prepare submissions to IRB; identify patients appropriate for inclusion in multi-center clinical research studies; collect and submit data for assigned studies; monitor and communicate study progress with sponsor and physicians; participate in preparation of budgets and evaluation of financial status of studies. Conduct clinical assessments of patients participating in clinical trial; provide pertinent patient education based on study protocols; obtain vital signs. Laboratory Collection / Processing/Shipping.

Qualifications
Education - Required: Associate Degree/ Preferred: Bachelor Degree
Experience - Required: 1 – 2 years previous clinical experience / Preferred: 3+ years previous experience
License(s) - Required: RN, CCRC, or equivalent; willingness to obtain certification at earliest eligible point or within 2 years of employment
Special Skills - Valid TX Driver’s License and have own transportation to periodically travel between different clinic locations
